Let’s talk about the adventure that is your career.
From very early on in my professional career I have been, what I like to call, an “Adventure Guide” for job seekers. It’s always been a passion of mine to help people navigate the always exciting (sometimes rough) terrain on their quest for a better career destination. Professional connections, acquaintances, former colleagues, referrals, job seekers of all types, friends and family members routinely ask me to review or revise their resumes, write cover letters, improve LinkedIn profiles, craft strategies on effective networking techniques and impart interview preparation advice. This all comes very naturally to me and I have always been drawn to the job seeker perspective. I love it!
My experience and knowledge in this area helps job seekers in any phase of their career lifecycle. This includes college students seeking internships, recent college graduates entering the world of work, emerging young professionals ready to take that next step, individuals returning to the workforce and the more seasoned professional seeking the next phase of their career journey.
Given that my entire career has been spent as a Corporate Recruiter with an additional 4.5 years as a National Client Trainer for the pioneer in digital job search, Monster.com, I have a unique perspective on how to craft a successful job search strategy. I’ve recruited in a number of industries across many business lines. While working at Monster.com, I trained recruitment teams from a variety of industries including tech, healthcare, financial services, entertainment, telecom, retail and manufacturing. These clients represented some of the best known global brands in the world.
Having seen how recruitment and hiring decisions are made across all different industries and companies of varying sizes, having personally interviewed thousands of candidates and having read countless resumes, I am able to offer valuable insight into what works and what doesn’t. I also traveled across the US for Monster.com where I trained large groups of job seekers in transition as part of Monster’s “Keep America Working” tour. When you combine my experience from these vantage points, I possess a unique skill set that has proved to be invaluable to the many job seekers I’ve coached personally and in group settings.
